The River Severn (the UK’s longest river), the River Stour, and the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal surround and intersect the town, creating a range of leisure opportunities on and by the water and a variety of attractive destinations in the surrounding picturesque Severn Valley and the beautiful Worcestershire countryside. The award winning restored and unique historic Canal Basins provide a tranquil and picturesque scene, with a café/ restaurant and riverside pub, heritage room and an annual programme of events.

The Riverside Meadows and Amusement areas offer picturesque riverside walks, fairground rides, a skate park, paddling pool and other family entertainment for all age groups. Riverboat trips (self drive and cruises) take place during the summer and at other times, subject to availability. The river also hosts a rowing regatta, a raft race and the annual Stourport Carnival when numerous boats are decorated with lights.
